Steak & Shake is losing money fast, but the company’s CEO has a new plan to save money – get rid of the cherries.
CEO Sardar Biglari recently suggested that the company could save $1 million a year by getting rid of the maraschino cherries that top off their milkshakes. Steak & Shake lost more than $18 million in the first quarter of 2019 and has temporarily shuttered 60 locations, with more closures possible.
