Reports are circulating that DJ Khaled may sue Billboard over claims by the publication that 100,000 sales of his new album were disqualified unfairly and stopped him from having the number one album.
Because of the disqualified sales, Tyler the Creator’s IGOR was named the number one album and Khaled wasn’t happy at all. Billboard apparently agreed to count a “bundle deal” that Khaled had with an energy drink in his sales, but then backtracked, but included Tyler’s bundle deal with his sales. Billboard is currently looking over its current rules on bundling and will roll out a new set of rules for 2020.
Do you think that “bundle deals” should count with album sales? Should Khaled let this go?
