Coca-Cola may be on its way to changing the way we drink alcoholic drinks forever. The brand is launching a Chu-Hi, a japanese mixed drink that is made with the japanese spirit “shochu” which is a liquor distilled from grains.

The Chu-Hi is usually mixed with other flavors and contains anywhere from three to eight percent alcohol, but Coca-Cola has remained silent on its flavor offerings or how much its alcohol content will be.

Coca-Cola’s Japan business unit president, Jorge Garduño told Coca-Cola.com that, “Coca-Cola has always focused entirely on non-alcoholic beverages, and this is a modest experiment for a specific slice of our market.”

Although the new products sound exciting, don’t expect for Coke to release any Chu-Hi’s in the United States anytime soon.

What type of alcoholic drink would you want Coca-Cola to make? What flavor would it be?
