We previously reported that paps caught Billie Eilish out and about without her signature baggy clothes… which prompted a bunch of Internet trolls to body-shame the pop star. Never one to shy away from calling things how she sees it, Jameela Jamil has slammed the online bullies.
Taking to Twitter, the “Good Place” actress shames those commenting on the singer’s body, remind people that Billie Eilish is “human.” Jamil is warning the body-shamers that not only do words have consequences, they can teach the “children watching our behavior” the wrong lessons… and can have dangerous effects on mental health, like eating disorders.
“The lows we have stooped to when we are bullying an 18 year old pop star about her body,” she writes. “Forgetting that not only is she human, but there are children internalizing our words against themselves and others, learning from you how to make this world uglier.”
