Finding a match on a dating app is never easy, and navigating online dating over the past year has been even harder since singles have had to concern themselves with their health as well as whether they vibe with someone. Well, now on dating app is here to help in at least one of those areas.
The San Francisco-based dating app Coffee Meets Bagel is allowing users to add their COVID-19 vaccine status to their profiles. The new addition can be found right above someone’s personality and interest descriptions, and can be updated at any time.
Users can decline to reveal their status if they want to, but they can also choose to let potential mates know whether they are fully-vaccinated. There’s also the option to share they are waiting on a second dose, whether they plan to get vaccinated in the future, or have no plans to do so at all.
The option comes as CDC guidelines have been updated to say that it’s safe for those who have been fully vaccinated to gather indoors. That means vaccinated singles can finally stop the zoom dating and maybe go out to dinner.
